Primary Fishing Divisions

As a part of the regular entry fee of $650.00, anglers will be eligible for a $3000 cash award and trophy for first place, $1500 and trophy for second place and $1000 for third place in each of the following four divisions:

• Mako – 6 foot total length minimum
• Open* – 6 foot total length minimum
• Release** – est. 50 lb. minimum
• Bluefish – legal minimum

*Open division includes threshers and blue sharks only.  All other shark species are prohibited from boating.
**No minimum size to receive release points on tigers, makos, , threshers, great whites and sandtigers.

Tuna Division

For a separate $100 fee, tournament participants may compete for a cash prize for the largest tuna caught during any of their fishing days. Ninety percent of the fees collected within this division will be paid out for the heaviest tuna.  The payout for this division will be determined by 90% of the fees collected.

Youth Division

First and second place trophies will be presented to children 12 and under who register the heaviest qualifying sharks or the most sharks released. There is no cost to participate in this division. However, the tournament committee must be notified of the angler’s age during the weigh-in for recordkeeping purposes.
